On Friday, all leaders from the 6 counties of the Nyanza region converged in Kisii to discuss the document, hosted by Kisii Governor James Ongwae.

In an interview on Inside Politics on Sunday, the commentator suggested that the same comes as a show of unity in the region.

He stated that it is a major score for Kisii County, given that its the very first time its holding such a big regional meeting.

"When you look at the significance of the Kisii meeting, that's very huge. This is the first time you have that big meeting taking place in Kisii," he said.

Mokua also lauded Governor Ongwae for organising the meeting, which according to him, was a success and was properly coordinated.

"Governor Ongwae must be given credit for hosting that kind of a big event which went on very well," he added.

The forum was presided over by ODM leader Raila Odinga, who founded the BBI campaign alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2018.

Also present were Interior and Devolution Cabinet Secretaries Fred Matiang'i and Eugene Wamalwa and several governors.
