West Mugirango MP James Gesami has hit out at local politicians from Gusii region following Deputy President William Ruto.
The ex-MP argued that DP Ruto is brainwashing local politicians who after getting into power opt to use shortcuts to make wealth.
"I wish to condemn local politicians who have been blindly following DP Ruto whose integrity has been questioned. Such leaders should not be given room to be the leaders to represent our people in the National Assembly or at the county level," Gesami noted.
According to him, DP Ruto uses the money to lure local politicians who are after accumulating wealth instead of working hard to make wealth.
He insisted that the DP's presidential candidature in 2022 should be ignored by the electorates in West Mugirango.
"It is saddening that the area MP (Vincent Kemosi) has been busy going around with DP Ruto because he is interested in getting money instead of serving the electorates. 2022 the electorates should reject anything to do with DP Ruto presidential bid," noted the former MP.
He also appealed to residents to reject leaders with selfish interests ahead of the 2022 polls.
Gesami was speaking at Bogichora ward on Wednesday.
