The English Premier League transfer window is closed now, but that has not stopped various clubs’ scouts from looking for promising players.
Reports from Germany indicate that Manchester United scouts have been scouting Hannover 96 midfielder Linton Maina, who has been in imperious form in recent past.
The young midfielder had a breakout season with his club and has continued where he left with a series of good performances during the preseason.
Maina (19) was born in Berlin to a German Mother and Kenyan father and made his professional debut for Hannover 96 on March 18, 2018.
Even though he has made a few appearances for Hannover, many have predicted a bright future for the young man.
He has made three appearances for the German under 16 national team, four for the under 17s, six for the under 18s and five for the under 19 side.
Reports indicate that the Red Devils see him as capable of making an impact in the Premier League in the future – a similar case of Leroy Sane, the German who was signed by Pep Guardiola at Man City.
