Gareth Bale's six-year stay at Real Madrid is almost coming to an end after his agent Jonathan Barnett branded Zinedine Zidane a disgrace.
The Welshman was left out in Real’s matchday squad that faced Bayern Munich in Houston on Saturday where Zidane said it was because the club was working on his departure.
“He wasn’t included in the squad because the club is working on his departure and that’s why he didn’t play.
“We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team," said the Real Madrid coach.
Jonathan Barnett, Bale's agent however, could not sit back and watch his client harassed as he came out and slammed Zinedine for showing no respect to Bale who has on the years been of great help to the club.
"Zidane is a disgrace, he shows no respect for a player that has done so much for Real Madrid.
“We’re working on a few things. Gareth is a Real Madrid player but if he does leave it will be his own decision, not Mr Zidane’s.”
Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham back in 2013 for a then-world-record £86million and during the spell, he has won four Champions League trophies.
Several clubs have been linked to the player, however, possible re-union with Tottenham was rubbished by Barnett as China-based clubs as well as England's Manchester United remain potential suitors for the talisman.
According to Zidane, forcing out Bale exit is only meant to bring change and it is a decision which has to be made.
“There comes a time when things are done because they need to be done.
"I’ve not got anything against him. We have to make decisions and change things, that’s all there is to it."
