The trip to US by over 80 Members of Parliament continues to elicit mixed reactions with Kitutu Chache South legislator Richard Onyonka dismissing it as 'silly and crazy'.
According to reports by a local publication, the MPs are under the stewardship of Speakers Kenneth Lusaka and Justine Muturi, who are yet to issue any statement.
They are attending a conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Kenya is said to have sent more representatives than any other country with Nigeria coming second.
On Wednesday, Onyonka slammed his colleagues, arguing that they had caused embarrassment and ridicule to those who did not attend the function.
"I am embarrassed and heartbroken on how Bunge is behaving. 80 MPs for a trip to US is not only reckless but also silly. It's crazy," he said.
Mr Onyonka also demanded that the names of those in the trip are published so that Kenyans should know them. He said he wasn't aware of the trip.
Nyamira Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi also condemned the trip on Thursday, adding that there is need for Parliament to stop wastage.
"The cost of living has gone high. Our people do not deserve this. We have to stop unnecessary wastage for the sake of the public," she lamented.
