Kenyans are tired of corrupt leaders, Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has said.
In a tweet on Friday, the county boss said that time has come for a generational change to happen in the country's leadership.
He contended that only a new leadership would ensure that broke Kenyans have money in their pockets, decrying corruption in the country.
"Kenya is ready for GENERATIONAL CHANGE. We need new leadership that will ensure money gets into the pockets of our people. Kenyans are tired of being broke and poor while a few people and some corrupt leaders swim in wealth, " his tweet read.
The Machakos Governor, who is doing his final term in office, has long styled himself as a young leader with transformative ideas.
He has called on Kenyans to do away with corrupt leaders and embrace young leaders who have ideas that can improve the living standards of Kenyans.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap leader has made it clear that he intends to run for the presidency in the 2022 general elections.
In a bid to improve his chances, he has directly taken on Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in a bid to oust the former vice president as the Ukambani kingpin.
