In a Facebook post on Sunday, Itumbi alleged that Malala has resorted to coercion in a bid to force Kenyans into backing the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) initiative.

He accused Malala of linking the BBI to a plot to block members of some ethnic tribes from ascending to the presidency in future 2022 polls.

He added that the Senator, who spoke in Kakamega on Saturday, insulted people opposed to the BBI, whose report is set to be handed over to President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday.

"Senator Cleophas Malala: Do not wait to read the BBI report-You are stupid if you are waiting to know what is in BBI. It's about stopping Kikuyu and Kalenjin from being president. That is inclusivity," Itumbi Wrote.

In response, Etale suggested that Itumbi never understood what the Senator said, and posted a clip of the speech, which acquits the Senator from Itumbi's allegations.

"Chief, take time to understand things," wrote Etale.

In the clip, the Senator is seen hailing the BBI as the initiative which will address matters to do with historical injustices and corruption.

He claims that its critics are the corrupt who are viewing it as a weapon that might be used against them in the future.
