The Supermarket has employed more than five residents of Kisumu as it steps up competition against the other four operators.

According to Lemigo Supermarket Kondele branch manager Timothy Odongo, security has drastically improved in the area leading to an increase in the number of people willing to set up businesses in Kondele.

“The issue of insecurity is no longer there. We have reliable security. Police do patrols here day and night,” said Odongo.

He said that business operators are carrying out their activities with less worries.

“Investors are coming because there is security. The business environment is now good. Initially, the rate of insecurity was very high. Shops were being raided but now we have the issue of community policing where police are cooperating well with locals to improve security,” he added.
