The woman, Ms Sarah Wairimu Kamotho has been taken to the headquarters of the DCI for questioning over the whereabouts of the 71-year old man.

Reports indicate that the Kamotho was picked up from her Kitisuru home before she was driven to the headquarters for grilling following the disappearance of the tycoon. She was later detained at the Muthaiga Police Station pending a probe into the missing of the wealthy foreigner.

The suspect is likely to face charges related to the disappearance of the Dutchman if police find evidence linking her to the crime. The millionaire has not been seen since July and it remains unclear what happened to him.

Mr Cohen, a former chief executive of Dutch conglomerate Phillips East Africa, went missing after the couple had a messy divorce.

The sleuths are now cross-examining the case to determine whether she was stressed after a letter was sent to the Dutch Embassy in Nairobi by Ms Sarah Kamotho claiming that: “Tob has depression and mental condition he won’t address for personal reasons and this has (been) and is causing a lot of problems”.

The letter alleged that the missing persons were engaged in fights with everyone because of stress.
