Deputy President William Ruto has insisted that Jubilee’s development agenda is on course amid visible cracks in the political party before 2022.
The second in command, who spoke at Kangaita Catholic Church in Kirinyaga Central Sub-county during a fundraiser in aid of a church today, said that the noises in the political party have not affected its performance in any way.
He insisted that the political outlay is determined to transform the lives of the residents through various projects as outlined before the last general elections. He said that he is glad by the fact that close to 85,000 Kenyan households have been already connected to power.
Ruto noted that the government allocated Sh 900 million for the connection of power to different parts of the nation.
“As of today 85,000 households in this county are all connected to power while Sh 900 million has been set aside during this financial year to supply electricity to 20,000 more residents,” Ruto said, as quoted by Standard.
He also said that the government has plans to establish a water system plant across the country. He noted that the system will cost the government more than Sh 1.5 billion, adding that it will supply water to different parts of the county including Kerugoya and Kutus towns.
