Uasin Gishu County Governor Jackson Mandago has eulogized the late former nominated Uasin Gishu County Assembly MCA Rose Kisama as a peace icon.

Through his official Facebook Page governor Mandago describe Kisama a dedicated and selfless leader.

“My sincere condolences to the family, friends, and relatives of the late former Uasin Gishu County nominated MCA Hon Rose Kisama whom we laid to rest today at their home in Kibiku Ngong, Kajiado County. Special solace to the daughter Madeline Kisama,” he said.

He reiterated that Kiasama was a dedicated leader, a peace ambassador and devoted Christian who served God and humanity selflessly and that she will be remembered by the residents of Eldoret and the larger North Rift region on matters peace and national cohesion.

Kisama was a peace icon and was instrumental in bringing communities together after the 2017 post-election violence.

“We have surely lost a hero. On behalf of my family and the people of Uasin Gishu County, I say pole to Madeline Kisama and family, I urge everyone to emulate her virtues. I commit to support what Rose left behind and build the capacity of Madeline to take over from where her mother left,” the governor added.

“Psalm 34:18 "The LORD is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit". Rest in eternal peace Rose,” he said.
