The MP says that there is need for the entire group of leaders from the region to rally behind President Uhuru Kenyatta and help him deliver, especially in the region.

She argues that while Uhuru has accomplished a lot in the Central Kenya region, he can do even more with the support of all the leaders and not with the division being seen.

“We cannot address topical issues affecting our community in disunity. We need sobriety among our leaders to be able to legislate and ensure that the things that affect our people are done correctly,” she said.

According to the leader, it will take the joint effort of all the area leaders to brainstorm on the issues that affect the region and come up with the solution to them.

However, her remarks come at a time when a section of the leaders, especially the lawmakers, are divided between Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto, with majority being on Ruto's side.

Some have been questioning Uhuru's leadership and pointing out that he has not done enough for his people, especially on matters of Agriculture.

Uhuru has also taken issue with a section of them who have been engaging in early campaigns, which he says is slowing down service delivery to their constituents.
