Wasafi Classic Baby's artist Mbosso Khan alias the Romantic Boy on Saturday 'revived' the famous Yamoto Band, after years of absence in the music industry.
The singer performed at a beach party that was held at Bidi Badu Restaurant located along the famous Diani Beach in Ukunda.
During the performance, Mbosso 'revived' the band where he started his musical career before joining Diamond Platnumz Wasafi Records a few years back.
Mbosso was working under the band's highly rated talent manager Mkubwa Fela alongside three other artists; Aslay, Beka Flavor and Enock Bela. The four artists owned the Yamoto Band tittle and worked as brothers.
The band was famous for hits such as "Nitakupwelepweta, Nisambazie raha, Niseme, Mama, Cheza kwa madoido among others.
However, the band was dissolved after the members started working as solo artists.
The artists did not get an opportunity to release a video for their latest song 'Basi' which they had recorded before they split up.
On Saturday, Mbosso and Enock Bela combined efforts and performed together.
The two performed 'Nitakupwelepweta', which was a rebuking song that mocked a woman who seduced young boys in the village. The song was a great hit at the Coast and in Kenya at large.
