The Kenyan First Lady Margaret Kenyatta paid a visit to the Mama Lucy Hospital in Nairobi, that caters for maternity patients, on Thursday.
She went with goodies for the fistula patients undergoing treatment at the health facility.
State House Kenya announced in a tweet that she donated dignity packs to the scores of fistula patients in the hospital.
The first lady also opened the Kangaroo Mother Care Unit at the Nairobi health facility.
"First Lady Margaret Kenyatta when she arrived at the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital in Nairobi County to donate dignity packs to fistula patients undergoing reconstructive surgery, as well as to open the Kangaroo Mother Care Unit, as part of the 5th #BeyondZeroMedical Safari, " State House tweet read.
Fistula is a health problem that leaves women who have undergone prolonged labour with the inability to control the passing of urine and faecal matter.
The head of state's wife has made helping mothers nursing pregnancies a major part of his vocation as the country's first lady.
Her Beyond Zero campaign has seen her make donations to scores of maternity facilities across the country.
The main objective of the campaign is to improve maternal and child healthcare.
It has been a signature of her service as the first lady and is likely to be remembered for years to come as the biggest part of her legacy.
