Former Agriculture Minister Mwangi Kiunjuri insists that he will still stand with Deputy President William Ruto no matter the circumstances.
Kiunjuri was relieved his duties early this month by President Uhuru Kenyatta, five years after his appointment.
But a defiant Kiunjuri on Wednesday said he will walk with Deputy President William Ruto in his quest for 2022 polls.
Kiunjuri is keen to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta as Mt Kenya kingpin in 2022 and he's said to have recently registered a party.
"Deputy President, I can assure you that you will have one general to the end. If you end up in opposition we shall be together... if you form the next government we shall be there," he said.
He accused unnamed forces of allegedly undermining the team which supports Dr. Ruto, insisting that no amount of intimidation will make him bolt out.
"Those who are not against us are for us. Even if I decided to go start my own BBI campaigns in Laikipia it shall still be the same BBI we are talking about".
Before joining cabinet, Kiunjuri was the party leader of the defunct Grand National Party, which joined Jubilee in 2017.
