Political analyst Herman Manyora has expressed doubts regarding the document released on Tuesday, saying that its not the actual Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
In a recorded analysis on Friday, the commentator said that the leading figures in the BBI push might be playing games on Kenyans, and might be hiding the actual report.
He based this on ODM leader Raila Odinga's remarks that the report will be fronted to Kenyans for scrutiny, claiming that it is after the exercise that the real document will be brought.
According to Manyora, Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta are preparing Kenyans for the actual report, which he said they will hide behind Kenyans to pull out from where they are hiding it.
"Raila has said that the people, who outnumber those who prepared the report, will have an opportunity to look at this report. According to Raila, we are entering a phase of a national dialogue which will bring out the actual BBI report," he said on his Youtube channel.
He opined that the two, using the BBI taskforce, might have decided to only propose slight changes to avoid upsetting the nation.
According to him, well aware that the majority of Kenyans will back the proposed changes, they want to use them to unite Kenyans, before demonstrating their real intentions.
He says that in the event that another document is compiled, which includes proposals like the inclusion of the executive Prime Minister, then major political changes should be expected.
"They wanted to unite the country because it (the BBI report) did not have radical changes that would have divided the nation. But if changed, the new report will be a game-changer," he added.
Manyora said that then, President Uhuru Kenyatta should be expected to start drifting towards filling that position.
But in its current state, the report only proposes the formation of a weak Prime Minister, who will basically carry out the roles currently done by the Majority Leader in the National Assembly.
