Speaking Monday in London during a leaders panel discussion session at the UK-Africa Investment Summit, Uhuru said that his government has put in place various measures to ensure that potential investors have enough reasons to channel their resources into the country.  

The head of state said that his government has made a number of improvements in different dockets to ensure that private investors have reasons to be impressed at the end of the day. He noted that Kenya has emerged as one of the leading trading partners not only in East Africa but also the entire continent.

“We have tremendously improved the ease of doing business in Kenya. I think Kenya is now the third most attractive investment destination on the African continent,” the President said.

 The president reiterated that his government has plans to unveil new policies for the economic growth of this nation.  Uhuru also said that there is the need for Kenya to work with other countries including the UK for the improvement of the livelihood of the residents.

“This is in line with our policy of recognizing that we need to deal with all obstacles that prevent businesses from partnering with us to achieve our development objectives,” he added.
