Deputy President Dr William Ruto descended in style on Kibra to drum up support for governing Jubilee candidate in the parliamentary race McDonald Mariga.
He came with an uncompromising message to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), a rival political party he painted as violent to the core.
The country's second in command told the ODM party that there were no fools in Kibra who were willing to buy into the party's 'violent' messaging.
"We want to tell these people that there are no fools in Kibra. There is no one willing to be lied to ("Hawa watu tunataka kuwaambia wajinga wameisha Kibra. Hakuna mtu wa kudanganywa tena Kibra hii), " the deputy president said. (6:56-7:03)
The campaigns for the Kibra parliamentary seat entered homestretch on Sunday as cases of violence were reported in some places in the constituency.
Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi's convoy was met with a hail of projectiles thrown by irate youths.
Ford-Kenya's Ramadhan Butichi's supporters clashed with Imran Okoth's supporters in Bukhungu with Butichi accusing Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) supremo Raila Odinga of causing disruption.
Political pundits have framed the race as a proxy battle between Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto, both of whom are expected to run for the presidency in 2022.
