Police have nabbed five suspects who had allegedly abducted a 14-year-old girl.
The minor had been reported missing for three weeks.
Among the five were three men and two ladies who were found in a single-roomed house where the minor was also found. Officers were alerted by neighbours who became suspicious after the girl was seen spending nights with the three men.
The girl was last seen on January 5 at a local bar with a pharmacist who later booked her into a lodging. The victim narrated how the pharmacist became the first person to sexually assault her.
"The pharmacist lured me into the hotel and defiled me before leaving me there," she said.
Joel Wanda, the pharmacist, was last week charged before Senior Resident Magistrate Fatuma Rashid, for abducting the girl. Wanda denied the charges and was released on Sh100,000 bail.
However, the girl was found in the single-roomed house.
The two ladies who visited the house were arrested and taken to Kondele Police Station. When the three suspected men were asked about the girl by the neighbours, they said the girl was due to join the polytechnic.
The three men denied abducting the girl and instead claimed that she had lied to them that she was an orphan.
"We had been giving her accommodation because she claimed she had nowhere to go," said Albert Omollo, one of the suspects.
However, the girl claimed that the trio had been defiling her in turns. The five will be arraigned in court on Monday.
