A 50-year-old night guard was on Monday night brutally murdered at his work place in Gesiaga area, police in Ting'a have confirmed.
According to the locals, the body of the man who was working at a local society was discovered by children who were on their way to school.
Mr Isaac Ondari, the father to the deceased, said the body of Ezekiel Ondari was severally cut by unknown people.
“I was called while asleep only to be told that my son had been found murdered at the society and I would like the police to ensure that his killers are arrested," said Ondari .
He further said that security in the area was wanting, adding that for the last three months, there have been cases of robbery.
Confirming the incident, Ting'a OCS Alfred Tunui said he was shocked of the death of Ezekiel Ondari, adding that police will ensure culprits are arrested.
“We have already launched investigations to ensure that we get hold of the killers of the society watchman as well ensure that they face the law," he said.
Tunui called upon locals to help the police in carrying out the investigations by giving clues. The body of the deceased was taken to Nyamira County Referral Hospital.
