Tiaty MP William Kamket believes that a two-day meeting held in North Rift by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi last weekend scared Deputy President William Ruto.
For two days, Moi met delegates from Pokot and Marakwet communities where they discussed the framework of working together before 2022.
Elgeyo-Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos, politician Zedekiah Bundotich, Senator Samuel Poghisio and Mr Kamket led the delegations.
On Saturday, Kamket said Ruto felt scared thus the decision to raise false alarm over his security. The DP on Monday alleged that some people were planning to eliminate him.
“We went to Eldoret for two days and already, some people feel their lives are in danger. They should stop crying, no one wants to harm them,” he said.
“We have been meeting the people and Kanu will have a presidential candidate known to you. We will have a flag bearer,” the MP said yesterday at Churo Secondary Girls in Tiaty, Baringo County.
During the meeting, Moi insisted that he's closely working with President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga to ensure Kenyans get services.
“We have agreed with your leaders to tour the country to the sub-location. Some fresh blood have come to join us in the pursuit of development that benefits our people,” he told the delegations.
