Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Saturday afternoon urged Kenyans to express their views on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.

In a statement shared on his Twitter handle, Odinga claimed that the BBI report will make Kenya a nation with shared prosperity.

Odinga, who also serves as the leader of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, pointed out that people should take advantage of different forums to comment on the recommendations that have been made in the report.

"The journey to a nation with shared prosperity is what we have now embarked on through the BBI process. I urge our people to continue making their views known at the different fora that will be taking take place across the country," Odinga stated on his Twitter handle.

Odinga's statement came shortly after he attended a rally at Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega.

The rally which was presided over by COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli and Kakamega County Governor Wycliffe Oparanya was aimed at popularising the BBI report.

Raila Odinga has been at the forefront of drumming up support for the report and even in some cases pointing out that Kenyans should expect a referendum.

Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula who had earlier on opposed the BBI meeting at Kakamega made a U-turn and attended the event.
