In a tweet on Saturday, the ODM supremo promised to ensure that those behind the murder of Mr Ngumbao are brought to justice.'

Mr Ngumbao, Raila revealed, is the uncle to MCA-elect Reuben Katana Mwamure

"Joined the people of Ganda in Malindi where we laid to rest Mr Ngumbao Jola, uncle to MCA-elect Reuben Katana Mwamure. We will pursue justice for Ngumbao who was killed in electoral violence. May his soul Rest In Eternal Peace, " Raila Odinga's tweet read.

Among those who are facing charges over the violence that led to the death of the victim is Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa.

Jumwa was arrested after the scuffle and arraigned in a court of law where she was granted bail.

She has strongly denied any involvement in the deadly cviolence that led to Ngunmbao's death.

The mayhem was allegedly caused by a confrontation that the Deputy President Dr William Ruto-backing member of parliament had with supporters of a rival candidate in a ward by-election.

Aisha Jumwa was strongly campaigning against the ODM candidate as she supported another candidate.

She fell out with Raila Odinga last year after she publicly threw her weight behind DP Ruto.
