Sarah Wairimu who is a key suspect in the murder of her husband businessman Tob Cohen on Wednesday raised concerns against the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) over the disappearance of her two dogs.
According to the defense lawyer Philip Murgor there were reports that the dogs might have been stolen, or were being held at the police dog section department.
He further opposed allegations that the State was not aware of where the dogs are citing that they were at the suspect's house which was taken over by police on the grounds that it was a crime scene.
Assistant DPP Alexander Muteti, on the other hand, argued that the defense should share knowledge of the whereabouts of the two dogs.
The case of the disappearance of the dogs comes shortly after Sarah Wairimu filed an application to be granted access to her house.
The DPP, however, insisted that the house was still a crime scene and the suspect might interfere with the case if given access.
“If handed over to Sarah, there is a possibility that she will interfere with the crime scene,” Mr. Muteti stated as quoted by The Star.
The dogs were also on the list of things that Wairimu had requested for the court to give her from the house.
