This comes weeks after Peter Munya (Trade), Joe Mucheru (ICT), James Macharia (Transport) and Sicily Kariuki (Health) were accused of plotting to murder Deputy President William Ruto in meetings held at the La Mada Hotel.

Speaking on Friday, Matiangi said that the claims have not in any way eroded the relationship between cabinet ministers, adding that the working relationship remains intact.

“You may have heard that we are not working together in the Cabinet but don’t listen to anyone who has time to waste,” he said during the burial of CS Mucheru's grandmother.

The remarks were echoed by CS Macharia who added that the meetings will continue as they are solely aimed at benefitting the country development-wise.

He said that as was the case before, Principal Secretaries will also be part of the meetings after Interior PS Karanja Kibicho was also implicated in the same alleged plot.

The group has since denied the claims, with detectives confirming that a letter, purportedly written by a member of the Cabinet and addressed to President Uhuru Kenyatta was fake.

The letter has since been traced back to Ruto's quarters.
