In an address meant to mend fences, Mboko pleaded with Uhuru to award Mwalimu Masudi Mwahima and Suileman Shakombo goverment jobs.

Mboko said that she had to compete with eight men during the 2017 elections. She said the two should be remembered when Uhuru makes next state appointments.

"Mr President when you're giving those jobs please remember some of my competitors. We have Mwahima, Shakombo. They should be recruited to government so that they feel that warmth," she said.

"I wrestled with eight men. I was the only lady in the race but a special one. I really think this handshake should gave taken place during your first term."

Uhuru has been subjected to criticism over his culture of recruiting retirees to government. His most recent recruits have an average age of 65.

Mboko also lauded Uhuru for the handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga, arguing that it should have come during Uhuru's first term. Uhuru said BBI report will be implemented.

She said BBI was aimed at addressing election-related differences witnessed in the past with a view of having a lasting solution.

“That road (BBI) myself and Raila with other leaders we shall complete. Do not be misled, love your country, love and respect yourselves. I am confident we shall accomplish the mission,” she said.
