Firebrand lawyer Miguna Miguna has taken a swipe at former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, branding him as betrayer.
Miguna accused the ODM boss of betraying Lwam Bekele; the widow of his late son Fidel Odinga, who has been taken to court over her husband's estate.
Raila's wife, Ida Odinga and her daughter Winnie, have filed a suit at a Nairobi court challenging granting of the rights of administration of Fidel's estate to Bekele.
In the suit, Ida and Winnie claim the deceased had twins with another woman and the minors should be beneficiaries of Fidel's property together with Bekele's son.
Weighing in on the inheritance battle, Miguna said Raila has failed to protect his daughter-in-law and grandson and, therefore, he cannot be trusted in defending rights of Kenyans who he has been seeking to lead.
"The people's con-man Raila Odinga is a patented betrayer. A 84-year old grandfather who cannot protect the widow of his late "son" Fidel Odinga, Fidel's wife Lwam Getachew Bekele and Fidel's son cannot defend the rights of other Kenyans. Raila has betrayed millions of Kenyans," he tweeted on Thursday.
The exiled lawyer claimed the former Prime Minister was a dishonest leader and listed a number of prominent Kenyans he has allegedly betrayed in the past.
"He betrayed Hezekiah Ochuka Raballa and his 1982 coup plotter colleagues. He betrayed Dr Crispin Odhiambo Mbai. He betrayed Harrison Okong'o Arara. He betrayed Chris Msando. Raila betrayed me. Kenya deserves honest leaders; not con-men like Raila Odinga," Miguna posted.
