Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, the lawmaker said the report does not solve the problems of this nation.

He said he has read the report, and found no good reason to endorse the same amid the ongoing debate on whether the country should hold a referendum or Parliament should be allowed to implement the same.

“I still remain firm that this (BBI) is a horrible report, it is a proposal that is the only consolation I have," he said.

“Its about time that we become mature as Kenyans and really go back into our national ethos which the BBI was trying to address," he added.

Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang, who spoke during the same interview, said Parliament has no mandate to implement the report.

He argued that the report was commissioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga, hence they need to reach the people for a referendum.

Kajwang noted that Parliament is not the right platform for the implementation of the report as opined by Deputy President William Ruto's camp.

“BBI was a presidential initiative, it was not a parliamentary initiative, it is upon the persons who commissioned the building bridges and that is Raila Odinga and the President to determine the route that the report would take," he said.
