On Monday, State House Spokesperson confirmed the release of the report to Kenya, reports indicate. The BBI chairman Yusuf Haji on Friday said that the report will be presented to the duo on Tuesday.

Haji divulged that claims that the report had leaked to the general public were fake. He reiterated that the contents of the report had been kept top-secret.

On Friday, President Kenyatta asked leaders not to engage in the sideshows in the name of the report.

He reminded the leaders to avoid the politics of insults whether they support or oppose the report. He also warned them not to spread rumours before they know the contents of the report. The head of state made the remarks when he presided over the fourth Kibabii University graduation in Bungoma County.

On his part, Ruto has been calling for sobriety ahead of the release of the report. He has insisted that he will only support the report if it puts the needs of Kenyans first and not the creation of positions of power.

“We all want to debate the BBI report as Kenyans and find solutions to the challenges facing the country. We should focus on issues that benefit all of us,” Ruto said on Saturday when he presided over a funds drive in Ngobit Ward, Laikipia County.
