The elections body’s Chief Executive Ezra Chiloba called on Kenyans to register as voters saying the 6 million voters target can only be attained if at least two hundred thousand Kenyans are registered per day.

Chiloba said 2,000 new voters have been registered in each of the 47 counties, per day.

The mass voter registration exercise started on Monday, and will run until February 16.

The electoral commission has also confirmed that the biometric kits have performed as per expectations with only 68 cases of faulty being reported out of 7793 kits dispatched.
