President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed his fear factors when it comes to recording of his private events perhaps due to the power of social media.
The president is on record for often scolding media houses. He has often accused the media of misreporting, dismissing newspaper contents as inaccurate.
In an undated video making rounds on social media, Uhuru is heard openly expressing reservations over uttering some things, due to presence of cameras.
The event was organised by St Mary's School former students, in which Uhuru is part of them. An excited Uhuru addressed participants for 5 minutes.
"I am afraid of cameras these days. I would have said many things about this school of ours," said Uhuru as he struggled to hold back his laughter.
"It's our responsibility to support this institution and help it rediscover its lost glory. We have that responsibility as former students."
But throughout the speech, Uhuru sounded incoherent as he struggled to pick what to say she not what to in a rather private ceremony.
St Mary's School was popular both in academics and sports, dominating in Rugby for many years. Many national team Rugby players were old boys.
Uhuru left St Mary's School in in late 70s before joining Amherst College in the US where he graduated in 1985 with a degree in economics and political science.
When he became president in 2013, he admitted that he struggled to change his public lifestyle due to change of responsibilities.
