North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko on Wednesday sensationally claimed that he played a major role in blocking an ODM meeting from going on.
At Guardian Hotel in 2016, former MPs Alice Chae, Timothy Bosire, Charles Geni and Dr James Gesami had convened the meeting to address the status of the county.
During that time, the four had fallen out with Governor John Nyagarama, who they accused of maladministration and gross incompetence.
In an interview on Wednesday with state owned Minto FM, Mr Nyamoko, who was then County Assembly Speaker, said he did so due to his dissatisfaction with the leadership.
"I did a lot and I never tolerated impunity. I remember that I had to flush ODM MPs from Guardian Hotel where they had gathered to tell us stories," he said.
A group of youths convened at the venue and started disrupting the MPs, forcing them to end their press conference abruptly in 2016.
But ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire, then Kitutu Masaba MP, has disputed Nyamoko's version, insisting that if indeed he disrupted the meeting, he was then working with Governor John Nyagarama.
"We met to discuss issues ailing our county and he was speaker. It's funny he's calling Nyagarama a conman then purport that he organised for disruption. This means they were working together."
Early this week at a function in Magombo, Mr Nyamoko, a key ally of DP William Ruto, claimed that Governor John Nyagarama is a super conman.
