The first thing you should be afraid of is to be with a man who does not care about you. It is unfortunate that many women chose to stay in toxic and abusive relationships simply because they fear loneliness and criticism.

Nevertheless, being single is not something women should be scared of rather, they should be contented with their current peaceful status.

Certainly, love and relationships are neither worthless nor a waste of precious and valuable time, rather, they are great ingredients in one’s life. On the other hand, it may not be time yet to be engaged in a relationship.

Singleness is not loneliness. Here is why you should not be frightened of being single:

1. Be afraid of a man who does not let you be yourself rather than be afraid of being single

There are guys who will criticise everything you do whatever it is just for the sake of belittling you. These type of men make you feel like everything you do is useless and will always disrespect you and devalue you in front of your friends and will never allow you to have any type of freedom however little it is.

2. Be afraid of spending time with bad people and not being afraid of spending time being alone

Some men do not appreciate the time you spend with them and just take it for granted and think they are entitled to that. Sometimes, you may even find out later that you do not share anything in common.

3. Be afraid of being used by a self-centred man with no plan nor commitment in life and not being afraid of making love

Some men will just use you to get the “cake” and once they're done, they will escape having impregnated you or mistreated you and left you feeling disrespected.

Be afraid of them and stay away from them. These types of men do not want to make any commitment in life and have any responsibility at all; some will always behave like "adult kids".

In conclusion, it is better to fear to be in a relationship with someone who does not love you.

Always endeavour to be with a man who will hear the unspoken words through body language and will appreciate you and encourage you every step you make in your life.
