The Henry Jackson Foundation (HJK) is set to open an office in Kisumu next month.
According to Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o, the regional office will officially be launched in Kisumu’s Milimani estate, on September 13, 2019.
“Invigorated by the spurring developments in Kisumu many organisations and corporate entities are setting base in our capital. The most recent case being that of the Henry Jackson Foundation (HJF) whose region office launch is slated for September 13th, 2019 at Milimani, Kisumu,” said Governor Nyong’o after meeting HJF Regional Director for Africa Berhane Assefa in Kisumu on Tuesday.
According to the county boss, the regional office will help advance collaborations between HJF, County Government of Kisumu and the national government.
The Foundation has been supporting HIV care and treatment in Seme and Kisumu West Constituencies through the Water Reed Project.
HJF is a global nonprofit organisation created by the United State’s Congress 36 years ago to accelerate progress in military medicine.
It serves as a trusted and responsive link between the military medical community, its federal and private partners, and millions of American service families, veterans, and civilians who rely on the advances and quality of life that result from this work.
