Rangwe MP Lilian Gogo now wants a law formed to prevent Kenyans aboard planes from farting.
The MP made the proposal on the floor of the house on Thursday, where she said she has repeatedly been forced to endure bad smell when travelling.
The OMM MP said that the same has been a major irritant aboard and wants it tamed, arguing that it can cause fights and even insecurity on board.
“If there is anyone given irritant that makes people fight on board, it is the fart, it is terrible within the plane,” she said.
Asked by temporary Speaker Chris Omulele, Lwanda MP, on how she intends to have the law executed, she proposed a keen control of food offered onboard.
She also proposed the introduction of paramedics in flight and special training of the crew.
“We need special training on aircraft crew so that they provide medicines like bicarbonate of soda after to passengers after meals and drinks have been served.
We should also have paramedics, who are trained in basic first aid included in the international and local flights,” she added.
She also argued that too much alcohol is offered onboard, adding that the long sitting hours raises flatulence rates, further proposing the issuance of medicine to control gas.
