Diamond, Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) Records founder and CEO, is an award-winning artiste in Africa.
He is known for his back-to-back hit songs, in most cases releasing new hits every month.
Besides regular hits, he is one of the best on-stage performers, a tact that saw him win this year's African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) best live act category.
While Diamond is now a celebrated brand, very few people know where the Bongo star started, his first song and how it was.
The 'Baba Lao' hitmaker had a humble beginning in music which many people would never imagine give the success story he now has.
His first song was dubbed 'Toka Mwanzo' which loosely translates to 'from the beginning'. It was a love song in which his lover had left him, leaving him with endless questions.
The song was not of a high standard but still, his voice was clearly melodic and commanding.
