The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson Wafula Chebukati has released a notice indicating the total number of registered voters in Kibra Constituency.
In tweet on Monday, the electoral body noted that there are 118,658 registered voters in Kibra constituency after finishing the voter verification exercise.
''Certifying that the revision of the Register of Voters has been completed for purposes of the by-election for Kibra Constituency scheduled to be held on 7th November, 2019,'' wrote IEBC.
The notice revealed that Laini Saba has 17,455 voters, Lindi 16,688, Makina 25,695, Woodley/ Kenyatta Golf Course 28,066 and Sarangombe 30,754, which all total to 118,658 voters.
This comes as the body is preparing for the upcoming parliamentary by elections in the constituency on 7 November, 2019.
The register has been availed after calls from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders requested for it in the recent past.
Various parties have fronted their candidates for the Kibra parliamentary seat.
ODM party have Imran Okoth, Jubilee party have McDonald Mariga, Amani National Congress (ANC) have Eliud Owalo among other candidates.
Parties have been argued to conduct peaceful campaigns to avoid chaos among their supporters.
On Sunday, chaos were witnessed in the constituency where Owalo and his party ;leader Musalia Mudavadi were pelted with stones by angry youths.
