Police are looking for a Somali national thought to be in Kenya and harbouring terror connections.
Mr Abdiwahiid Khalif Abdi alias Ise Taraabun is said to have landed in Kenya on September 24, shortly after being released from a Mogadishu prison.
The police believe that Mr Khalif has been in police custody over alleged links with Somali terror group Al Shabaab, before his controversial release.
Police reports indicate that he left Mogadishu aboard a Salaam Airline plane headed for Nairobi and was briefly interrogated at the airport before leaving.
"He was briefly interrogated at Mogadishu airport while waiting for his flight before he was allowed to travel. He comes from Habargidir clan,” says police reports.
Police spokesman told the suspect to report to the nearest police station to help the police get to him, urging Kenyans who might have details in his whereabouts to do the same.
"Any person who has seen him or has information about him should also do the same immediately or contact us by calling our toll free lines 999,911,112,” said Mr Charles Owino.
Kenyan authorities have been on high alert after a series if attacks by the terror group.
Last week, the police mounted roadblocks along the Garissa- Nairobi after receiving info that some terrorists might have been on their way to the city from Somalia.
