Weighing in on the fake gold saga that has gripped the country, the outspoken legislator decided sounding lyrical was the way to drive his message home.

His Swahili appeared to glitter more brightly than the fake gold he was weighing in on.

He employed words ending with 'bu' to great comical effect.

"Juzi tumemsikia Mwarabu akiwa na gadhabu sababu ya dhahabu yake imechukuliwa na watu hawana adabu, watu ambao wanafaa wapate adhabu kali (The other day we heard the Arab man is angry because mannerless people have taken his gold, people who deserve punishment)," he said.

The outspoken legislator called on Raila to make public the statements he has recorded with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Ichung'wah spoke in the presence of Deputy President Dr William Ruto, Senator Susan Kihika and other Nakuru leaders.

The leaders who spoke piled pressure on Mr Odinga over the fake gold scandal, claiming that he was part of the syndicate that had defrauded their unsuspecting victims of their millions of shillings.

A phone recording of embattled Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula went viral last week.

Scores of people said to be part of the fake gold syndicate have been arrested.
