We will walk with you at this time of sorrow, former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has told Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who is mourning his father.
Mzee Peter Musyoka Mairu, 94, passed away on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.
Following the sudden loss, Kabogo has joined hundreds of Kenyans who have comforted Kalonzo and his family by sending his condolences through social media.
"@skmusyoka my sincere condolences to your family for the demise of your beloved Dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May the Good Lord rest his soul in eternal peace. We will walk with you at this time of sorrow," tweeted Kabogo.
Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru has also prayed for Kalonzo's family asking God to give them strength during this moment of grief.
"I wish to express my sincere condolences to Wiper leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka @skmusyoka, his family and friends following the demise of his father Mzee Peter Musyoka Mairu. May God strengthen you during this time of sorrow," said Waiguru.
On Monday various leaders across the political divide visited the former Vice President to condole with him at his home.
They included Deputy President William Ruto, Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen among others.
