In an article titled 'Kenya ties on the table', The Nation trained its coverage of the historic state visit on a double taxation agreement that the Kenyan Head of State and the Barbadian Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley inked.

The paper also reported on the areas of mutual interest that the two leaders pledged to work on.

"Barbados is looking to enter into a double taxation agreement and a bilateral investment treaty with Kenya. Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley shared this information with people from a cross section of the private sector on Thursday, telling them the intention was to create a framework that would “spark their interest” in forging business partnerships with the East African country, " the Barbados Nation wrote.

Barbados Today, another top publication threw light on the visit in an article entitled 'Long overdue' trip for Kenyatta to Barbados'.

"Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has described as “long overdue” his three-day state visit to Barbados, as he joined local dignitaries at a welcome reception in his honour, hosted by Governor General Dame Sandra Mason at Government House last night, " Barbados Today reported.
