Speaking at Kima in Luanda on Sunday, the lawmaker said that the DP's actions point at a man opposed to the BBI, with a secret intention, which he claimed to know.

He alleged that Ruto is out to frustrate the President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga sponsored push, so that he can be given consideration.

He said that Ruto is out to create attention so that he can be brought onto the negotiation table, even as he asked Kenyans to rally behind the BBI, which he said will result in reforms.

“BBI is on the way and Kenyans should prepare for it and expect greater changes and reforms in this country," said the lawmaker, who has not been in good terms with ANC party.

He said that the reforms, allegedly set to originate from the BBI, will bring to an end the culture of post election violence and political wrangles in the country.

His remarks come at a time when the DP has softened his stand on the BBI, stating that though he is not opposed to its implementation, it must be subjected to public scrutiny.

However, his allies have continued questioning the initiative, claiming that it seeks to bring about a referendum, which will translate into creation of state executive seats or election losers.
