Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has been arrested

Nyoro was arrested on Monday night after a scuffle with nominated MP Maina Kamanda at a Catholic Church in Murang'a county on Sunday.  

He has just left Kameme TV studios in Murang'a before he was arrested.

The lawmaker has earlier on said that the arrest was not legal and wanted goverment to protect him.

He also faulted Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and his Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho for his woes. He had asked them not to misuse their power.

Senator Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen said that he is shocked following the arrest of the lawmaker. 

He said that the government is targeting the allies of Deputy President William Ruto. 

"I am actually surprised that @NdindiNyoro has been arrested. I hope the @IG_NPS remembers that power is transient and that we are merely temporary trustees in the offices bestowed upon us to serve and not to oppress others. I hope the @ODPP_KE will stand up to be counted!' Murkomen tweeted moments after he was arrested.

Ndindi had retorted that no amount of intimidation will make him change his mind before 2022.  

He argued that there is no day he will support Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga. 

He also divulged that Raila has no influence in the Mt Kenya region, adding that he will stick with Ruto to the end.
