The Government of Kenya has withdrawn the Security details of the Nandi Governor Stephen Sang.
According to the Governor, the State's resolve is as a result of his stern and firmness over the grabbed land that he has been on the verge of reclaiming to the people.
Taking to his Facebook page, the Governor reaffirmed that he is not cowed by the governments move.
"The Ministry of Interior has withdrawn security attached to me due to my resolve on reclaiming grabbed public utilities as well as addressing historical land injustices," read his Facebook post in part.
He however assured the Nandi residents that he will continue discharging his mandate as Governor for Nandi without fear under the protection of God as he is fighting for the rights of the electorate.
The Governor was early this month arrested, interrogated and arraigned in court and charged over incitement and destruction of private property.
The Governor pleaded not guilty and was released on bond pending his case at the Kisumu Magistrates Court.
Early this month, Governor sang led residents in cutting down the tea plantation which he claimed was planted in the grabbed public land.
