Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli has heaped praise on Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Amolo Odinga.
Speaking during the 42nd General Council of the Organization of African Trade Union (OATUU) on Friday, Atwoli said that the former Prime Minister is a respected leader.
He said that the opposition leader has several nicknames including Agwambo and Enigma of Kenyan politics. He also said that the Luo political kingpin is a wonderful organiser just like him.
“This famous politician has several nicknames including Agwambo which means the mysterious one. Raila Odinga has often at times been described as the enigma in Kenyan politics.
"To me because your excellence my specialization in Labour is organising, I am an organiser and you are a terrible organiser I have ever met in my life,” he said.
He also said that the life of the opposition leaders shows that he is committed to help the workers.
He divulged that the ODM leader has fought for the freedom of workers in different ways, adding that he deserves credit for the same.
"I look at Raila's life and for us who labour for workers and come from pressure groups, we have always admired you," he said.
