Two of former vice president Wamalwa Kijana's children have accused Cabinet Secretary for Devolution Eugine Wamalwa for frustrating their efforts to inherit and manage their late father's property.
Michelle Wamalwa and Duke Mboya, have blamed the CS of joining hands with a section of family members to deny them their right of inheritance which includes an estate in Nairobi.
They alleged that the CS has been behind the dubious deals of blocking them from inheriting the estate through sponsoring endless court injunctions to halt any progress.
Michelle alleged that the CS has abandoned them despite promising otherwise during the funeral of their late mother, Yvonne Wamalwa who died in January 2018.
“The people who are fighting against us are extremely influential and respected, they are on TV every day with the President or the Deputy President,” said Duke Mboya as reported by eDaily.
According to Michelle, the situation was made worse after the demise of her mother, Yvonne Wamalwa in January 2018.
"We are unable to access our parents’ benefits because of the numerous injunctions, as if that was not enough, an injunction has now been placed on our Karen family home," said Michelle.
She alleged that the frustrations have turned dare and unbearable compelling her to defer her studies for lack of fees and peace of mind.
She claims that despite having been born and brought up in a stable family with influential members and relatives, their lives have turned miserable to an extent of lacking basics.
“All I did was to be born in the family…Its no like a job application where you have to send it in,” lamented Michelle.
“This is not a plea for money or financial aid, it is almost a plea to be left alone,” said Duke Mboya.
Efforts to reach CS Wamalwa for a comment proved futile as his phone was off most of Friday evening
