Simon Mutunga allegedly stabbed his colleague Boniface Mativo at Kamuthwa village on Monday.

The incident happened at a construction site where the two were working as casuals before a misunderstanding ensued leading to the death.

Confirming the incident, Masii OCS Geoffrey Muchai said the police will leave no stone unturned until they apprehend the suspect who escaped after he committed the crime.

"The two argued before the man stabbed his colleague killing him on the spot. Their other colleagues tried to save the deceased's life but it was too late," Muchai said.

Muchai addressed the press in his office on Friday.

He said the suspect hails from Kyumbi and had been asked to fetch milk among other ingredients from the shop before an argument ensued.

The body was removed to Machakos Level 5 Hospital mortuary.

Muchai condemned the act and urged residents to avoid resolving to violence even in petty issues that can be easily sorted.

"Why to commit a crime that you could have avoided if you controlled your anger, it's unfortunate that a lot of people tend to resolve to violence," Muchangi added.
