Ndeti argued that the majority of the problems the country experiences after every general election are due to unfair distribution of power.

Speaking on Citizen TV’s Day Break show on Tuesday morning, Ndeti noted that the current system of governance doesn't provide for inclusivity.

She said that the system is a one man’s show that makes other Kenyans feel neglected and abandoned.

“We must look at the distribution of power and change our constitution to accommodate everyone,” she said.

The vocal politician noted that the country's problems can only be solved if there is inclusivity in power-sharing.

Ndeti asked the Building Bridges Committee to come up with proposals that will ensure everyone is involved in the running of the government.

A section of politicians in the country is pushing for a change in the county’s’ governance system.

Some politicians across the political divide are advocating for the re-introduction of the prime minister position.

The Building Bridges Committee that came into existence after the famous March 9, 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga is currently collecting views on the proposed referendum.

The committee co-chaired by Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji and Busia Senator Amos Wako is expected to give its report in May.
