In a relationship, there are various verbal ways of expressing your love to your partner. There's more than the usual "I love you".
Here are five other things, besides "I love you" you should say to your partner more often that would make him or her feel wanted, needed and appreciated:
1. You can do it
Giving your partner morale and assurance that they're capable of doing whatever it is they're struggling to do is one of the best feelings ever.
Sometimes all they need is someone to assure them there's light at the end of the tunnel when things seem difficult and almost losing hope.
Believe in your partner even if they don't believe in themselves.
2. I am proud of you
Telling your partner these magical words will make them know you're impressed by what they do, and who they are, regardless of whether they succeed or fail.
It also gives them the enthusiasm of working harder and bettering themselves in whatever it is that they do.
3. I appreciate you
Everyone likes validation.
Appreciate them for what they do to you or how they make you feel.
The feeling of your partner knowing you recognise their efforts in the relationship really goes a long way in strengthening that relationship.
4.I'm sorry
Owning up to your mistakes and apologising to your partner when you're wrong just shows how much you hate hurting their feelings.
By apologising, it also makes them feel secure since you've put him/her and your relationship ahead of yourself.
5. You make me very happy
There's no better feeling than realising you're the source of your partner's ear to ear smile.
It makes them feel nice, and they will strive to continue making you happy.
