Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has confirmed that he is not afraid with Don Bosco Gichana vying for any political seat in Kisii County.
While speaking on Thursday at Nyatieko area in his constituency the lawmaker said Mr Gichana should contest any seat of his choice in the county.
"I am happy finally Mr Gichana was released by a Tanzanian court after he pleaded guilty to money laundering charges. I am not afraid of him vying for any political seat. Let him return home and plan himself ahead of 2022," he said.
Onyonka refuted claims that he is unhappy with the release of Mr. Gichana who is perceived to be his opponent in the constituency.
"There is no way I can celebrate when my brother Mr Gichana languishing in jail. I have been ready to face my opponents. During the last year's polls, there were strong opponents but, I beat them," he said.
He urged constituents to shun local politicians who are out to spread propaganda to taint his name.
